MACkite Store Locations
While many of our products are conveniently available online, the best way for you to experience MACkite's fun attitude and exceptional customer service is to come see us in person. MACkite's two stores are open year-round in Grand Haven, MI, and our sister store, Mackinaw Kite Co, is open seasonally for the warmer months in historic Mackinaw City, usually between May and October. Both cities make great family vacation destinations- if you haven't been yet, you really must!
To find our downtown toy and surf shop from the east (Grand Rapids), take I-96 west to exit 9. Merge onto M104 and take this road through Spring Lake. Take the left lane up the ramp and cross the drawbridge. You'll now be on US 31, or Beacon Blvd. Move to the middle lane. Go through three lights; the third will be Washington St. Go one more block to Franklin St. and turn right. About six or seven blocks down, between Second and First Streets, you'll see our store on the right, with free parking behind it.
You may also enter Grand Haven from the north (Muskegon) or south (Holland) by taking US 31. From the north, your directions to our store will be the same as above once you cross the drawbridge. From the south, watch for signs directing you to the waterfront. Turn left to cross the median where you see "Waterfront- Next Left". This will put you on Franklin St, which you may take to the free parking behind our store.
Our Board Sports Center is just a mile and a half from our downtown store, in Grand Haven's Eastown neighborhood. If you're coming from the east or north, the directions are the same as above until you pass through the third light; then instead of turning right onto Franklin, you'll turn left to cross the median and come back to Washington. Turn right onto Washington and take it all the way to Beechtree (6 blocks). Turn right and go almost 3 blocks; you'll find us on the right at the corner of Beechtree and Slayton.
From the south, simply take US 31 to Washington and turn right. Go 6 blocks and turn right onto Beechtree. 3 more blocks and you're there!
